			<description><![CDATA[ AVI&#39;s are choppy if they contain B-VOP&#39;s, which don&#39;t seem to be supported on DSM-320.  XviD, by default, has this value set to 2, for optimum
performance.  If you&#39;re coding using XviD, either uncheck b-vop&#39;s altogether (would also disable packed bitstream), or set the level to 0.  Complex
scenes are handled better using avi than with mp4 (like the dam bursting in Ice Age - The Meltdown), so if you&#39;re creating a new encoding, this is the way

properly, jump resulted in out of sync audio... it was a mess.  TVersity helped, but functionality was lost.  I followed most of the other forums and messed
with bitrate, wired connections... then followed D-Link&#39;s advice and began reencoding my videos to Nero Digital.  The player does NOT appreciate Nero

			<description><![CDATA[ Yesterday night 25 March 06 my DSM did an automatic upgrade to 1.07ww.<br><br>Now a large number of movie files that used to play fine with the previous firmware do lock up the player in such a way that the remote control doesn't work anymore.   Some movie files just keep playing forever because of the auto-repeat and you can't stop them without rebooting the DSM. 			<description><![CDATA[ Hello,<br><br>I have several video files that were endoded to AVI that will not play on my DSM-320.  When I try and play them a tech support banner pops up and tells me to re-encode using Nero Re-Code in order to get the file to play.  What I can't find are the settings that you are supposed to use with Nero Re-Code to get the file re-encoded and stream properly.  Anyone have any ideas? 			<description><![CDATA[ Ok, so I ripped one of my dvds to my computer, noticed that the playback on the media player was a bit choppy. So I saw that Nero Recode was supposed to work for converting the file into a usable format.<br><br>So I bought the program, and used the feature to recode the main movie to Nero Digital, and it converts it to a .mp4 or mpeg-4 file, which I assume are the same thing. But when I try to play the file on the media player, it says the format isn't compatible. But the dlink website says... ]]></description>

I have tried this with reducing the audio bitrate, encoding in expert mode with QT compatibility and everything else I've picked up from this forum. The video playback is still jerky and unusable. 			<description><![CDATA[ I have a WinTV150 to record TV.  Using Comskip to detect commercials and comclean to cut them.  I have no problem playing the resulting file on the PC with GBPVR, but when I stream them to the DSM320(wireless) the video <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--><em>sometimes</em><!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> freezes just before the commercial that was cut (in other words right at the black frame.) Thought I'd log my setup in case its of any use to anyone.<br><br>I am using mediatomb as my media server, across a 54Mbps wireless network.  I get a wireless signal rating of around 72 on the dsm-320.<br><br>The conversion/transcoding is performed on a linux machine (fedora core 4).
